CAPS To Showcase Its Cardioplegia Portfolio at the 35th Annual Cardiothoracic Surgery Symposium (CREF)

IRVINE, CA – February 9, 2015 – Central Admixture Pharmacy Services, Inc. (CAPS®), announced today that it will showcase its Cardioplegia portfolio of compounded sterile preparations at the CREF 2015 in San Diego, CA, February 11-14, at booth #114.
CAPS will also host a luncheon on Friday, February 13 at the Hilton Bayfront Hotel, Indigo room #204 at 1:00 p.m. entitled, “The Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA) and the Impact on Cardioplegia,” with speakers Thomas (Tom) Muziani, PA CP, Author of the “Utah Protocol,” and CAPS leadership team members, Mike Koch, R.Ph., MBA, and Todd Jones, RN. This lecture will focus on questions surrounding the new DQSA and its impact on Cardioplegia.
CAPS has two locations registered as Outsourcing Facilities under section 503B of the Drug Quality and Security Act to address customer anticipatory compounding needs. CAPS also offers 23 503A regional pharmacies for customized, patient-specific parenteral nutrition (PN), chemotherapy and hydration.
